DKS Pro exists to raise money for dogs.

Every year of Pro starts as a donation to a no-kill animal shelter, rescue, or sanctuary — never to us.

DKS Pro is a voluntary thank-you tier for users who make a donation to a no-kill animal shelter, rescue, or sanctuary. It is not a purchase — DKS never receives any of the money, and there is no subscription or credit card.

DKS Pro is a best-effort program with no obligation in either direction. You aren't obligated to do anything for us, and we aren't promising anything in return for your donation. A donation isn't a contract, and Pro features aren't a service level. Both sides are simply recognising that something good was done in the world, and we'd like to say thank you in the form of a year of Pro features when we can.

Features may evolve, change, or occasionally break. We do our best to keep them running, but if a Pro feature is unavailable for a while we owe nothing more than the same care and attention we give the rest of DKS.

Task Satellite (Keyhole)

Pro members can task DCS-rendered satellite reconnaissance imagery directly from the tactical map. Right-click the map, draw a capture window, and a Keyhole server loads your mission, points the F11 camera at the area, and uploads a high-resolution screenshot you can use as briefing material.

The pipeline is heavy: each request spins up DCS, loads the .miz, settles textures, and captures a single image — measured in minutes per request and real GPU time on hardware somebody is paying for. Keyhole access is gated behind Pro so the queue stays short for the people keeping it running.

Priority support

Pro members get bumped to the top of the queue for help requests, bug reports, and feature questions in Discord. We still try to answer everyone — Pro just moves you ahead of the line when we're working through the backlog. There's no SLA and no guaranteed response time; this is best-effort, but it does mean we look at your messages first.

How to qualify

Donate $20 or more (or roughly equivalent in another currency) to a no-kill animal shelter, rescue, or sanctuary of your choice.

Open the DKS Pro dialog from the navbar and upload your receipt — image (PNG/JPEG/WEBP) or PDF, dated within the last 45 days.

We aim to thank approved receipts with a year of Pro. You can renew during the 45 days before your term ends — submitting a new receipt stacks another year on top.

Please make this donation in addition to whatever you usually give. Shelters depend on consistent support, not redirected support. We'd rather see DKS Pro grow the total going to animals than carve a slice out of someone's existing budget.

What happens to your receipt

We don't keep your receipt. We only record the donation amount and the shelter's name so we can track how much DKS Pro has helped raise in total. If the automated review needs a second look, we may store the receipt briefly so a human can check — and we delete it as soon as we're done.

Qualifying organizations

A qualifying donation goes to an organization that operates as an animal shelter, rescue, or sanctuary on no-kill principles. A few notes on what doesn't qualify:

Animal advocacy and lobbying groups (they don't take in or rehome companion animals)
Wildlife conservation organizations
Open-admission municipal "animal control" facilities (they typically euthanise)
Retail purchases or memberships, even at a shelter's gift shop

When in doubt, donate to a shelter you can find on a no-kill network like Best Friends Animal Society's no-kill registry, or one with an independent listing on Charity Navigator or GuideStar.
